Most dancers spend time practicing, but not always in ways that lead to real, lasting improvement. This intensive is designed to help you regardless of whether you have a practice partner or not.
You will learn how to practice West Coast Swing with intention and efficiency, regardless of your current level. Tatiana and Jordan will break down proven practice frameworks used by experienced dancers, helping you identify what to work on, how to structure your practice time, and how to translate drills into better social and competitive dancing.
You will explore:
How to practice fundamentals without stagnation
Turning competitive & social dancing into productive feedback
Creating a personal practice plan that you can sustain long-term
This is not about memorizing patterns; it is about developing skills, awareness, and confidence so your dancing continues to grow well beyond the event.

In this intensive, we’ll uncover the habits, routines, and strategies that fuel long-term growth in dance.
You’ll explore how to structure your practice, set meaningful goals, and develop the focus to keep improving, all while keeping training
fun and inspiring.
This intensive is designed to give you practical tools and fresh motivation to bring into your own dancing, so every practice feels like a step closer towards your goals.

Tren & Markus
Groove, Texture, & Personal Style: Bringing the Hip-Hop Vibe
All levels welcome
Sunday
10 AM – 12 PM
West Coast Swing thrives on individuality, & this intensive is all about unlocking yours.
In this intensive, Tren and Markus will blend hip-hop influences with West Coast Swing fundamentals to explore groove, texture, and quality of movement. You will learn how to add intention, contrast, FUN, and personality to your dancing while staying grounded in strong technique and connection.
You will focus on:
Developing groove and body awareness
Creating movement that feels authentic to you
Playing with dynamics, texture, and musical accents
Having more fun while dancing with confidence and freedom
This intensive is welcoming, energetic, and creatively focused, perfect for dancers who want to expand their movement vocabulary, deepen their expression, and bring a fresh vibe to both social and competitive floors.

About Kelly:
Kelly is a two-time US Open Champion (Classic and Jack & Jill) and an inductee into both the World Swing Dance Council and California Halls of Fame. She has over 45 years of teaching and competing experience and 30+ years as a judge/Chief Judge. Kelly has achieved the highest level of certification from the WSDC as a Master Chief Judge. She is also the current chair of the WSDC Chief Judge Committee.

Important Things to Know:
Must register in advance, not at the door.
Must have a full weekend pass to Seattle Easter Swing
May compete in all competitions for which they qualify under Seattle Easter Swing rules
